Our History

The Polokwane Child and Family Care Society was founded with the belief that every child deserves a safe and loving home. We saw a critical need for support services in Polokwane and nearby areas, especially for vulnerable children facing challenges like poverty and neglect.

Since then we have expanded our services significantly. Our commitment to adapt and respond ensures we remain a vital resource for those who depend on us.

We offer a diverse range of services tailored to meet the unique needs of children and families in our community. Each service focuses on creating a nurturing environment:

Continuous After Care Services

We offer all-in-one family support services and programs to help kids and their families stay connected and keep in touch through visits.

Statutory services - Child Care and Protective Services

We offer temporary safe care for kids while investigations are going on, and before we suggest placements to the Children's Court. We also provide alternative placements to deliver a complete and supportive service or program for kids and their families, making sure the care is as non-intrusive and empowering as possible.

Sustainability - Outreach and Community Engagement

To create ways to make money and raise funds to keep our current services going, helping those in need in Polokwane and some parts of the Capricorn district. Getting involved with the community is very important for making connections. We team up with schools and local groups to spread the word about child welfare.
